Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Asian stocks slid as Wall Street closed lower amid ongoing concerns about stubborn US inflation, suggesting the Federal Reserve may hold off on rate cuts. Tensions in the Middle East added to the cautious sentiment.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 declined by 1.53%, or 601.41 points, to 38,631.39 in early trading. The broader Topix index also dropped by 1.25%, or 34.53 points, to 2,718.67.
