Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: The benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended Thursday in the green, led by IT stocks, which gained over 2%. At close, the BSE Sensex rose 626.91 points (0.79%) to 81,343.46, while the Nifty 50 climbed 187.85 points (0.76%) to 24,800.85. Of the 4,016 stocks traded on the BSE, 1,424 advanced, 2,500 declined, and 92 remained unchanged. Additionally, 239 stocks hit 52-week highs, 25 reached 52-week lows, 302 hit the upper circuit, and 299 hit the lower circuit. Prabhudas Lilladher’s India Strategy Report expects Nifty to reach 26,398 in the next 12 months. Currently trading at a 3.6% discount to its 15-year average, Nifty is valued at 18.6x PE in the base case. Key factors include normalized monsoons, stable commodity prices, and potential interest rate cuts. The top gainers on the NSE include LTIMindtree (3.48%), ONGC (2.99%), TCS (2.84%), Wipro (2.41%), and Bajaj Finserv (2.39%), while the top losers are Hero Motocorp (-1.49%), Coal India (-1.48%), Asian Paints (-1.40%), Grasim (-1.25%), and Bajaj Auto (-0.86%).
